There's something about triangles. Anyway, this is really a first as I have only painted light skins before. But I like this a lot. I probably got the inspirations from trippy grooves by Nosaj Thing and Flying Lotus. This was an assignment for class.
Oh flying lotus~ Very pretty as always, there's such a level of elegance in your work, always makes it pop. Is this in place of the super sculpt 3D ness?
Thanks Alex. Flying Lotus is bomb yo... But so is Nosaj Thing!!
Yas... I felt steampunk was too harsh and this too delicate to be forced into a style that just seemed to spew from my teacher's ideals/personal agenda. I tried to add a bit of Victorian flavor but other than that, I didn't wanna force anything as it would turn out like crap. I opted not to go the 3D route because I don't wanna spend more money buying materials; plus my house isn't that cool enough to just have random steampunk items laying around. With only 3 to 4 class days to work on a 3D project, I find that highly unreasonable amount of time to make a quality project. I'm not particularly driven enough to do steampunk. Cyberpunk is another story though.
